i been the gallipoli bazaar 3 days ago. servis was terrible, and staff is very rute. we tryed harem kebab when they take the order we talked the them we need to hurry they said ok ,we eat dinner in 55 minutes we wasnt finished but they said you need to pay .we paid but never ever go back
Went with 6 other friends on Saturday. Very disappointing. Tables very cramped, food basic portions and server was very rude. I wouldnt go back even if the food was free. We didnt pay service - I think the first time I have done this in years!
Perfect restaurant 5 star, lovely foods, clean and smiley people
This is one of the best restaurants I've been to especially when you look at how the food is priced. I loved it so much that I am taking my girlfriend there for dinner on her birthday! The staff are amazing and I cannot wait to revisit that place.

I am a frequent visitor at Gallipoli, the starter vegetarian meze is amazing as each dish has it's own distinct fresh flavour and taste. Try the Iskender or Islama Kebap for mains, the lamb is so tender it practially falls apart (don't bother with the tangines as they're boring)! I love this place and get all my friends to eat here too!
Place Was Amazing.... Food was fantastic.. reasonably priced! Great Service! Awesome atmosphere, very busy on a saturday night! Recommend you book in advance! Make Sure you book a suitable time slot! If not be prepared to be rushed out due to others who have booked your table after you.
I love this place which provides amazingly tasty food for decent prices. My favorite restaurant on upper street, no wonder why it is always packed. Vegetarians try the mezze plate which gives you such a variety of refined tastes for under 5 pounds... a great light lunch option too!Of course if you are after a good Tajine you might be better off going to a morrocan restaurant rather than a turkish one!friendly staff too, strongly recommended.
Very surprsied at the amount of high recommendations for this place. Most of the comments are valid, atmosphere, price etc, but the food?Starters were great and like a closet conservative MP, I should have started and not finished. Our table moved on to tagines which were amazingly bad. Rather than traditional tagine cooking the food is obviously cooked in huge batches and served in a tagine. This means Lamb tagine was tasteless and in a watery sauce with flavours that had failed to meld. Kofte Tagine with egg - tomato sauce tasted like it came from a can, egg was hard and dry, tasted like cheap cafe food. Chicken tagine, again poor weak sauce, weak flavours. All the tagines were served in cold tagines. When I arirved at the table I gave back four plates (10 people at our sitting) as they were chipped and one had ash on it!For value yes.Atmosphere yes.For non smokers hell no!Vegatarians no - boring badly cooked/presented mains. Great hummusConclusion:Start but do not finish. The starters are pure traditional and satisfying. The tagines well, I cook them 10 times better at home. 5/5
I too think Gallipoli is fantastic - great food, good selection of vegetarian options, really affordable and the atmosphere is always vibrant and lively. My only major disappointment which really puts a bad taste in my mouth is that the waiter''s do not get the tips. I read this from a similar website and felt compelled to find out the truth. On my next visit I asked the waiter who was surprised that I knew and confirmed my suspicions. A real shame and I don''t understand why as the restaurants are always packed, personally I would rather pay a little more for my food if the owners need/want it and know my tip was going to the hardworking, friendly and professional staff.
